Automated machinery

Our production unit is equipped with 22 state-of-the-art injection moulding machines. They operate round-the-clock, 7 days a week, completely computer-controlled. Advanced control systems that continuously monitor all critical process parameters guarantee the quality of the end-product. These machines automatically extract for extra checks any products that might not satisfy the tolerance requirements. Optomechanical 3D measurement equipment checks the accuracy of thickness and other dimensional tolerances down to the very last micron.

Combinations of materials

Far-reaching robotisation enables us to make combinations of metal-plastic and plastic-plastic in countless variants. This creates unexpected possibilities for the designer in terms of mechanical and thermal properties and the product's look & feel, and opens the door to a substantially lower cost price compared with a product made entirely of metal.

Moulds

KIK has its own mould-making workshop. One of the benefits for our customers is that we can quickly carry out in-house maintenance, repairs and modifications. In consultation with the customer, we can make new moulds in-house or outsource their manufacture. At the end of a production run, the moulds can be saved for subsequent re-use. A fireproof mould strong-room guarantees safe storage.
